She worked at the highest levels of national policy, leading development on energy and fiscal issues that are critical to Canada's future. She also knows how to win. In the last federal election, Elan served as Campaign Manager in Calgary Skyview, leading the successful campaign that returned that riding to the Conservatives.

Calgary Confederation is currently held by the Liberals. If we Conservatives want to take it back, we must nominate a candidate with both conviction and competence. Elan has demonstrated the judgment, discipline, and resolve needed to represent the community well. I strongly encourage supporters to support her.

I had the pleasure of working closely with Elan Harper during the many years we spent together at Moodys Tax as part of our Canadian tax group. She was passionate, technically sharp and incredibly detailed – the kind of professional who genuinely cared about getting things right for her clients. Elan understood that behind every challenging tax file was a person, a family or a business relying on sound advice. She worked hard, asked tough questions, and wasn’t afraid to challenge ideas in pursuit of better outcomes. That combination of competence and conviction is rare.

Beyond her professional abilities, what always stood out to me was Elan’s deep concern for Canada’s future – particularly for young people. We spent many hours discussing how public policy, especially economic and tax policy, could be improved to create opportunity rather than dependency and growth rather than stagnation.

As a father of four, I share that concern, and I saw in Elan the same sincere desire to leave this country stronger for the next generations. She cares about youth, about families and about building a Canada that reward effort and responsibility. I have not doubt she would bring intelligence, integrity, and principled leadership to Ottawa, and I strongly support her nomination as the Conservative candidate for Calgary Confederation.

Not something I do regularly but if Elan Harper LLM, MBA is in your constituency she would make an excellent MP and represent you well. Picking a candidate to represent you in the nomination process can be difficult as you really don't know them.
